My life is a museum

All is exponential, they say,
It absorbs you like Monopoly at play.
It uplifts, it tests, it bends your will,
Things blink by, moments thrill,
Then still.

Diversity here is of the highest grade,
Black culture is amazing, a price to be paid.
It’s mind-boggling, this city so grand,
But it’s also expensive, hard to withstand.

People are very seductive here.
They see you, they want you near,
Come and disappear —
But are they real or just a fear?

It’s attractive, yet delusional, that’s clear.
Here you grow, in this vibrant place,
Excitement pulses at an exhilarating pace.

In NYC, it’s all magnified,
Both good and bad, you soak, absorbing all,
But quickly fried.

Choosing your stance in this urban whirl,
Society, capitalism, apps — it’s a free-for-all,
Squid game is real, you better win.

My life is a museum.
